The Ingredients

First of all, gather all the necessary ingredients for this recipe. Place close attention to the quantities and look for any Twist!

1 16 oz package fresh mozzarella, sliced
2 large tomatoes
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
8 large basil leaves
1 Tbsp capers
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp Cento Balsamic glaze (found in local grocery) Sea salt and fresh black pepper to taste

The Steps

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish and finally be able to enjoy it!

Slice 2 large tomatoes into 8 thick slices and lightly add sea salt and fresh black pepper
Add 1 or 2 basil leaves to each tomato slice
Add 1 or 2 mozzarella pieces to each tomato slice
Thinly slice red onion and add to salad
Add capers, then lightly sprinkle sea salt and black pepper over mozzarella (need to salt the mozzarella)
Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze over salad
Serve immediately or you may refrigerate, but do not refrigerate overnight. This salad is best when freshly made.
