Stuffed Mushrooms

These mushrooms are stuffed with Italian sausage, Ritz crackers and parmesan cheese. For my vegetarian Twisters, leave out the Italian sausage.

The Ingredients

First of all, gather all the necessary ingredients for this recipe. Place close attention to the quantities and look for any Twist!

12 medium mushrooms
2 tsp olive oil
2 Tbsp onion, finely chopped
2 Tbsp red peppers, finely chopped
1/4 cup mushroom stems, chopped fine
3/4 cup Italian sausage, (about 3 sausages), cooked and crumbled (T)
13 Ritz crackers, crushed (T)
4 Tbsp parmesan cheese, separated
1 tsp Italian seasoning
3 Tbsp unsalted butter
