6 Tbsp 100% unsweetened cocoa powder (Ghirardelli or Hershey's) Do not use cocoa mix.
1/3 cup hot water
2 cups milk
2 cups half-and-half (T)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp almond extract
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, loosely packed (T)
1 tsp of fresh orange zest (T)
1/4 tsp nutmeg
pinch of salt
