Try my coconut pie. It takes 20 mins to prepare and is a lovely addition to your dessert table.

The Ingredients

First of all, gather all the necessary ingredients for this recipe. Place close attention to the quantities and look for any Twist!

1 frozen pie crust, prepared per directions on package
3 large eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 Tbsp flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp each, cinnamon, vanilla extract, almond extract
1 tsp of rum extract or 1 tsp coconut rum (optional) (T)
Dash of salt
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

The Steps

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish and finally be able to enjoy it!

Prepare pie crust per package directions.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mix and pour into pie dish.
Bake at 325 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes until golden brown and center is almost set. Remove from oven. Do not overcook. Cool and serve.
