Recipe Ingredients

First of all, check if you have all the necessary ingredients for this recipe. Pay attention to the quantities!
  • 2-3 fresh rosemary stems, medium length (T)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 cups water, divided
  • 1 – 1 ½ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (6 to 8 lemons)

Recipe Instructions

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish and finally be able to enjoy it!
  1. In a large bowl, separate rosemary leaves from the stems and mix with 2 cups of sugar. Add 2 cups of boiling water to rosemary sugar mixture and stir well to make a simple syrup. Let rosemary syrup steep for 2 hours or more.

  2. Add 4 cups of cold water to rosemary simple syrup and start by adding 1 cup of lemon juice. Stir well. Add the remaining ½ cup of lemon juice as needed. It is better to add the 1 ½ cups of lemon juice slowly in case the lemons are very tart. Serve over ice.
