Slow Cooker Corned Beef

Recipe Ingredients

First of all, check if you have all the necessary ingredients for this recipe. Pay attention to the quantities!
  • 1 3-lb. package corned beef
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp pimento seeds
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar (T)
  • 2 Tbsp Grey Poupon Country Dijon mustard (rub into meat after seasoning below) (T)
  • 1 cup chicken broth or beer
  • 3 bay leaves
  • Optional: Shredded cabbage
  • See below for spice suggestions to season your corned beef.

Recipe Instructions

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish and finally be able to enjoy it!
  1. Remove corned beef from package and wash thoroughly.

  2. Season lightly with black pepper, dry jerk seasoning, coffee seasoning, smoked paprika and Grey Poupon Country Dijon mustard. Add spice package included with the corned beef. Do not add salt as this will make the corned beef salty. (You can also substitute other seasonings from your pantry as the ones listed here are just a guide). The mustard is important – so do not leave it out. It adds flavor and contributes to the moistness of the corn beef.

  3. Set slow cooker to High for 3 hours, add corned beef, onions, pimento seeds, bay leaves, chicken broth or beer and 2 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar. Add cabbage if desired.

  4. Slice corned beef and serve.
