In order to enhance the flavor of these pork chops, we will ‘Twist It’ with smoked paprika.

The Ingredients

First of all, gather all the necessary ingredients for this recipe. Place close attention to the quantities and look for any Twist!

------------------------BRINE-----------------------------
2 cups hot water
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup kosher salt
4 cups ice
2 oranges (juice and rind)
1 Lime (juice and rind)
4 Bone-in pork chops
-------------------------SPICES ---------------------------
1 ½ Tbsp Spanish smoked paprika (T)
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp red pepper flakes

The Steps

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish and finally be able to enjoy it!

Dissolve first 3 ingredients in a large resealable plastic bag, stir in ice cubes, citrus juices, and rinds. Submerge chops in liquid and refrigerate 6-8 hours or overnight.
Preheat grill to medium high, remove chops from brine and dry with paper towels. Combine spices in a flat dish and coat both sides of pork chops with mixture. Grill pork chops to 145° for 3-5 minutes each side. Let rest 5 minutes after removing from grill.
Served with sautéed apples and roasted potatoes.
