The Ingredients

First of all, gather all the necessary ingredients for this recipe. Place close attention to the quantities and look for any Twist!

2 ½ cups of flour
¾ cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
¾ tsp salt
1 ¾ cup golden (white) raisins
1 ½ Tbsp caraway seeds
¼ cup shredded coconut (Baker’s sweetened coconut) (T)
1 granny smith apple, peeled and chopped in small bite-sized pieces (T)
½ tsp cinnamon (T)
½ tsp vanilla extract (T)
1 pint Breakstone’s sour cream
8 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 egg

The Steps

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish and finally be able to enjoy it!

Combine the first 10 ingredients in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the vanilla extract, sour cream, melted butter and egg then stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until all flour is mixed.
Coat a 9-inch round cake pan with nonstick spray, transfer batter to prepared pan and cut a “X” into the center.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 mins. Cool bread for 10 minutes before slicing.
